Estrella Damm began, on Wednesday, the filming of a new TV commercial related to FC Barcelona. The popular brand of beer has prepared, each year since 2004, an advert that has become a tradition and "one of the most eagerly anticipated adverts by Barça fans" according to the Catalan company. The premiere of the advert is expected to be shown around the end of the year.
Secrecy about the content
The details of the publicity campaign are to remain under the utmost secrecy, therefore the FC Barcelona official sponsor has only revealed that the advert revolves around The Barça Masia. It's also known that some of the first team players brought up through the academy, will appear in it, like Valdés, Xavi, Busquets, Iniesta, Puyol, Pedro,Pique, or Cesc Fabregas.
Damm, with over 100 years of history, has sponsored many sporting events like the Barcelona Olympics in 1992. The company has also made commercials featuring Ferran Adrià and his world famous restaurant, El Bulli.
